THE IONIZER:
The electronic Ionizer generates huge numbers of negative ions and some oxygen, in the same way as nature's ionizers, such as lightning, or ocean waves. These negative ions help remove pollutants, especially minute, hazardous particles, from the air, and kill microscopic organisms. Because of their perceived effects of invigoration and refreshment, science speculates that negative ions may accelerate metabolism, ease fatigue, and boost immunity. |

Press the “POWER” button on the panel. The LED (TEMP) at the left will show the default temperature at level 3 and the LED (TIME) at the right will show the default time at 5 minutes. |

Press “H” button on the right. The FIR heating panels will begin heating and the indicator will light. |

The “W” button on the left works as “START” or “STOP” for the ceramic heater. It is not necessary to adjust the ceramic heater during use because it has an automatic temperature control function. |

Temperature settings: a total of 5 levels: level 3 is medium; level 5 is the highest and usually for winter months while level 1 is the lowest and is suitable for frail persons. It is recommended to choose a suitable temperature depending on the needs of the user. The level can always be changed during a sauna session by pressing “↑” or “↓” under “TEMP” LED. |

Time setting: Maximum 20 minutes. Press “↑” or “↓” button under “TIME” LED to set working time. It will increase or decrease 5 minutes for each time pressed. |

When the timer counts down to 20 seconds, a beep will sound three times to warn you to continue heating or to end the session. If you need to continue heating, repeat 1-5 above. If you choose to end, wait for 30 seconds until the sound of a long beep indicates the session is over. |

Design and Functioning of the Ionizer
A high voltage (but at low current, for safety) is induced in a needle emitter inside the ionizer. Electrons are forced along the body of the needle towards the point. The closer they get to the point, the more they are forced together. Electrons naturally repel each other, so as they approach the tip, the pressure is such that they jump off, onto the nearest air molecule, which thus makes it ionized. These dynamics create a so-called “ion wind” of negatively ionized particles, dispersing into the sauna.
