| History of The Chi Machine |
In Chinese, "Chi" (or "Qi") means "Life Force" & "Life Energy".
Japanese Doctor Shizuo Inoue, expert in oxygenating exercise, invented the original Chi Machine to give the body a simple side-to-side fishtail-like movement. In this unique form of passive exercise, Doctor Inoue had come to conclude that cellular absorption of oxygen can be improved.
With his long experience in alternate health practices, he viewed aerobic exercise, yoga, Tai Chi, jogging, swimming, breathing methods, etc., as merely ways to supplement deficiency of oxygen. His machine was to aid in that quest, and to bring oxygenation to those unable to be more active.
Dr. Inouye's Chi Machine was originally marketed world-wide by Sun Ancon, and brought its benefits to millions. |

| Since the invention of the Chi Machine, other manufacturers have decided to make similar devices, often at a much lower cost. The health objectives have remained the same, but these later Chi devices have many design advances, such as allowing control of the speed of the swinging, enhancements to the movement pattern, design and engineering, and electronic controls. |

What The Chi Health Device Does
How (Chi Health Devices) work is simple. In a side-to-side motion (or enhanced with a slight up-and-down movement) the Chi Device gently moves the body from the ankle support, on the axis of the spine.This delivers a full body massage, including internal organs and other systems. |

| How Does That Help? |
The gentle swinging in a simple side-to-side fishtail-like movement encourages the blood to circulate more efficiently from a caudal to anterior direction throughout the body.
Internal organs, the lymphatic system and spinal column all receive the massage of a steady, rhythmic motion wihout any high impacts. There is strengthening of your Chi and general sense of well-being. Afterwards, you may experience a tingling rush of Chi which slow ly diminishes to a deep relaxation—not unlike what runners experience, a "natural" or "runner's high". It is a sign of the Chi device's effect on the body. Even those restricted to inactivity (by illness or age) can experience the enhancements of motion.
